Volunteer Caregivers    The Client

Volunteer Caregivers assists individuals who strive to live independently. We fulfill request from hundreds or individuals each year. Volunteers provide services including transportation for medical appointments, help with daily tasks such as grocery shopping, and friendly visits to ease the loneliness and isolation that far too many people encounter.

Sam is a veteran of the Korean War. After he suffered a stroke, arranging transportation to the Veteran's Hospital became a challenge. Now through the Volunteer Caregivers program, Sam receives a ride to his doctor's appointments. He also receives something he didn't except. "I need the rides," Sam says, "but I really appreciate having someone with me."
